Eastern Roots is een tweetalige avondvullende tragikomische fantastische exploitatiefilm met surreële en absurde elementen, volgend op de no-budget featurette PAASHAAT/DISEASTER, die gemaakt gaat worden in Groningen en omgeving. De film wordt geschreven en geregisseerd door Boki Mekel en bevindt zich momenteel in haar preproductie-fase waarin door de leden van Buiten Kader en aanhang in bijeenkomsten props, sets, locaties, sponsoring en de cast verder worden voorbereid.
Eastern Roots is a bilingual feature-length tragicomic fantastic exploitation film with surreal and absurd elements, following the no-budget featurette DISEASTER/PAASHAAT, to be made in Groningen and its surroundings. The film is being written and directed by Boki Mekel and is currently in its pre-production phase in which members of Buiten Kader and company are preparing props, sets, locations, sponsoring and cast during meetings.
